🚨 14 YEAR OLD AIRLIFTED AFTER SCHOOL ASSAULT‼️

LIVINGSTON, TEXAS — A 14-year-old girl was airlifted to a Houston-area hospital after an assault at Livingston High School in Livingston, Texas, on Wednesday, September 23.

Police confirmed that five people have been arrested, including four juveniles and one adult.

Authorities have not publicly identified the adult suspect or disclosed the specific alleged role of each person arrested.

The victim’s family identified the teenager as Nataya Carter.

According to family members who reviewed cellphone footage, Nataya was approached and repeatedly struck by two girls.

Her aunt, Amber Gardner, said Nataya was thrown into a brick wall, struck her head and subsequently began experiencing seizures.

Nataya’s sister, Jalyncia Gardner, said the family was especially frightened because she had never experienced seizures before.

A friend who witnessed the incident, Darral Banks, said he attempted to intervene.

He also said some of the students who were arrested may have been attempting to stop the violence, although police have not confirmed those accounts or the individual roles of the people arrested.

Questions about the school’s response

Nataya’s family is also questioning how quickly school personnel intervened.

KHOU 11 reported that family members who reviewed video believed a staff member was near the students during the confrontation and questioned why intervention did not occur sooner.

Livingston ISD acknowledged the incident and said it was addressing the matter through both school disciplinary procedures and legal channels.

The district said students involved would be held accountable under district policy and applicable law.

The district also reported that a staff member was injured during the incident but did not require transportation to a hospital.

Nataya’s condition

As of the latest reporting available, Nataya remained hospitalized while undergoing medical testing.

Her family said she continued experiencing seizures, and it was not yet clear when she would be released.

Police have not publicly released the names of the four juveniles arrested or the adult suspect.

This investigation remains active.
