MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN — A teenager in Milwaukee has been sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by 10 years of extended supervision after pleading guilty to the fatal shooting of his 30-year-old sister, Ashley Hudson.
Hezile J. Frison was 15 years old at the time of the June 16, 2025 shooting and is now 16.
Milwaukee County Circuit Judge David Borowski imposed the sentence on September 25, 2026.
Frison pleaded guilty July 29 to first-degree reckless homicide.
A family confrontation turned deadly
The confrontation began over social-media posts.
Ashley’s younger sisters confronted her, and the dispute became physical.
Court documents described one of the women striking Ashley with a baseball bat.
Ashley attempted to get away in a vehicle before exiting with a knife, which prosecutors said she held to keep the attackers away.
Frison then obtained a firearm from his mother’s vehicle.
Video recorded during the confrontation showed him pointing the gun at Ashley as she backed away.
People nearby could reportedly be heard telling him not to shoot.
He ultimately fired, striking Ashley in the chest.
She died at the scene.
Investigators initially reported that Frison denied being at the scene.
After detectives showed him screenshots from video footage, authorities said he identified himself as the shooter.
The criminal complaint also documents statements attributed to Frison after investigators told him Ashley had died.
“Man, Fuck Her”- Hezile J. Frison
Those statements became part of the prosecution’s evidence and were discussed during the sentencing proceedings.
Ashley had previously sought protection
Court records obtained by CBS 58 showed that Ashley had filed restraining-order petitions against her mother and one of her sisters in 2023.
In those filings, Ashley described previous family conflicts and expressed fear for her safety.
The petitions resulted in restraining orders.
One of the orders prohibited the respondent from possessing a firearm through 2027.
Other family members were prosecuted
Two other family members faced charges connected to the incident.
Aaliyah J. Frison, Ashley’s sister, pleaded guilty to aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon.
Her sentence included two years of imprisonment and two years of extended supervision, both stayed, plus two years of probation.
Tara T. Hudson, Ashley’s mother, pleaded guilty to resisting or obstructing an officer.
She received seven months in a correctional facility, stayed, followed by 12 months of probation.
A sentence that closes one chapter—but not the loss
Ashley Hudson was 30 years old when she was killed.
Her death left behind family members and, according to reporting, four children.
The sentencing of Frison brings a major court proceeding in the case to a close, while Ashley’s family continues to live with the consequences of her death.
