🚨 BULLETS TEAR THROUGH HOME FAMILY INSIDE ‼️

BERKELEY, Mo. — A brother and sister say they dropped to the floor and crawled through their Berkeley home after gunfire erupted nearby—only to discover the following day that bullets had torn through nearly every room of the house.

According to the sister, she was inside the home when she suddenly heard gunshots.

She immediately dropped to the floor.

When her brother came toward her, she warned him to get down because she was afraid the person shooting could see them.

The two stayed low as the gunfire continued.

They didn’t realize just how close the bullets had come until the next day.

🏠 Bullets entered multiple rooms

The family discovered bullet holes throughout the home.

One bullet reportedly traveled from the front of the house through a mattress, mirror, wall and shower, eventually exiting through another window.

The sister said she found two or three bullets in her bed.

The siblings also pointed out that someone could have been seriously injured or killed if they had been standing in the shower when the bullet passed through.

Another bullet traveled through the living-room couch, continued through a wall and into the kitchen, where it struck the back of the refrigerator.

Another round went through a shirt from a family reunion that displayed the sister’s grandmother’s name.

For the family, that discovery was particularly emotional.

The brother, who also lives in the home, said the shooting could have ended differently.

“We both could have lost our lives… For somebody else’s mess.”

The sister said the experience has left her uncomfortable in her own home.

“I don’t even want to be in my house. You have made me feel so uncomfortable.”

The siblings said they do not know who would have targeted them or why.

The only description they could provide of a vehicle connected to the incident was a blue SUV.

đźš” Police investigation underway

Berkeley police were contacted Monday regarding the incident.

Police have not said whether they believe the residence was specifically targeted, and it was not known at the time of the report whether investigators had identified a broader pattern of similar shootings.

The incident highlights how quickly gunfire can turn a home into a dangerous place—even for people who may have had nothing to do with whatever prompted the shooting.

For this Berkeley family, the damage wasn’t discovered until daylight.

By then, they could see just how many places inside their home had been reached by bullets.

And the family is now left trying to process what could have happened if either sibling had been standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The investigation remains ongoing.
