🚨 FROM GATEWAY TO IRELAND AND EUROPE‼️

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI —

A new international connection is coming to St. Louis

St. Louis is preparing to take another major step toward expanding its international travel connections.

Icelandair has announced new nonstop service between St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) and KeflavĂk International Airport (KEF) in Iceland, beginning May 14, 2027.

The announcement brings exciting possibilities for travelers across Missouri and the surrounding region who want greater access to Iceland, Ireland, and destinations throughout Europe.

The seasonal service is scheduled to operate through October 24, 2027, with flights operating up to four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The airline plans to use Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft for the route.

Iceland provides an important connecting point between North America and Europe.

Passengers traveling from St. Louis can fly directly to KeflavĂk and connect to onward flights, including service to Dublin and Ireland.

This gives travelers another option when planning European vacations, family visits, educational trips, and international business travel.

For people who have dreamed of visiting Ireland’s historic cities, coastal landscapes, castles, and cultural landmarks, the new route may make planning a European journey more convenient.

The announcement is also significant for the St. Louis region’s broader economic and tourism goals.

International air service can help connect local businesses with overseas markets, welcome visitors to the region, and provide additional travel choices for residents.

St. Louis has much to offer international visitors, including the Gateway Arch, its music heritage, museums, sports culture, restaurants, and attractions throughout the metropolitan area.

Improved international connections create more opportunities to introduce those experiences to travelers from abroad.

As the region prepares for the launch in May 2027, travelers and tourism businesses alike will be watching to see how this new connection shapes international travel opportunities.

Travelers should check Icelandair’s official website for the latest booking information.
