🚨 43 YEAR OLD HAS BABY BY FOURTEEN YEAR OLD TEEN‼️

ILLINOIS—

The case of Robyn Polston, an Illinois woman who was sentenced to 20 years in prison in April 2026 after pleading guilty to two counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of child pornography.

The seriousness of abuse must never be measured by stereotypes about who can cause harm and who can experience it.

According to reporting the investigation involved a 14-year-old boy who fathered a child with Polston.

DNA testing established biological paternity, and investigators reported finding sexually explicit images and videos associated with the case.

The criminal proceedings

resulted in Polston’s guilty

plea and prison sentence.

The central issue deserves a more thoughtful conversation:

the protection of minors from sexual exploitation and abuse.

Public conversations about sexual abuse frequently focus on female victims and male perpetrators.

All experiences deserve attention, resources, and justice.

A narrow understanding of abuse can leave boys feeling invisible, ashamed, or uncertain about whether anyone will take their experiences seriously.

Boys may face additional barriers to disclosure when they fear ridicule, are told they should feel fortunate to receive attention from an adult, or believe that being a boy means they should have wanted the encounter.

A minor’s AGE and

Developmental Vulnerability

MATTER.

An adult’s responsibility to maintain appropriate boundaries does not disappear because the child is male, because the adult is female, or because the child may appear physically mature.

Parents, educators, healthcare professionals, counselors, and community members must create environments in which boys and girls alike can disclose concerns without fear of embarrassment, blame, or disbelief.

That trusted environment creates a responsibility to protect— not an opportunity

to exploit.

Sexual abuse can be especially confusing for a child when the person responsible is someone they know, someone their family trusts, or someone who presents the relationship as a secret or a special connection.

Warning signs may include an adult repeatedly seeking private access to a child, encouraging secrecy, sending inappropriate messages, crossing physical boundaries, or introducing sexualized conversations or material.

Concerning patterns should be taken seriously and assessed

by appropriate professionals.

Adults should avoid confronting children with leading questions or repeatedly asking them to recount potentially traumatic experiences.

When a child discloses something concerning, the priority is to listen calmly, reassure the child that they are not to blame, protect them from further harm, and contact appropriate authorities.

When a minor becomes a parent as a result of sexual abuse, the child may face complex emotional, developmental, educational, and family challenges.

The child’s needs do not end when an investigation concludes or a sentence is imposed.

Appropriate support may include trauma-informed counseling, medical care, educational accommodations, protection from unwanted contact, and assistance navigating the consequences of the abuse.

The baby born from such circumstances is also an individual with independent needs and rights.

That child deserves safety, stability, and care without being blamed for the circumstances of their birth.

Justice must recognize the harm caused while protecting the dignity and privacy of every child involved.

Suspected child sexual abuse material can be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Immediate danger should be reported to 911.

We must teach our communities to recognize warning signs, support safe disclosures, report suspected abuse, and prioritize the well-being of children over assumptions or appearances.
