ST. LOUIS — An 18-year-old identified as Daveyon Johnson has died following a shooting in north St. Louis on Sunday, September 27.
According to police information reported by local news outlets, officers were called shortly after 1:30 p.m. after a young man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in the 800 block of Rivertrail Court.
Near the Rivertrails Apartments and Riverview Transit Center.
He was transported to a hospital in critical and unstable condition.
Investigators later determined that the shooting itself was believed to have occurred in the 800 block of Makalu Drive, separate from where Johnson was found.
Johnson later died from his injuries.
The investigation has been taken over by homicide detectives.
As of the latest reports reviewed, authorities have not publicly announced an arrest or identified a suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
